=> After checking the 225 H/D classics, I went through my personal faves. I found one that didn't make the list but ranks under my Top 10 H/D fics ever. I might be partial, because I adore Terry Pratchett's writing and this fic is similar, but I still think it is made of absolute awesome. It takes fandom clichés and heads the other way, which is enough reason for you to read it:

I have been telling myself for weeks not to do it.
Of course I finally caved in. I read a RL/SB MWPP-era fic.
Pfft, you say? Well, I adore Long!Fics above all else and I am pretty sure I have read all the H/D ones. Well many. Or the good ones, anyway. ;)
So yesterday evening found me with a printed version of said long!Fic, MWPP-era. I laughed, I cried, I finished it… I loved it.
I got to sleep at 5 in the morning, but that is the least of my problems.
Because now I am hooked again, and here is the clou about why I mentioned it to be RL/SB: because I haven’t read any Long!Fics of them before.
And there are a lot out there, apparently.
And I, in my absolute addiction, want to read them.
If I keep going at this rate, I will never get anything done.

And I also can’t understand how anyone can say that HP-Fandom is shrinking / dying / whatever (not that I have said it before, myself. No…) There are so many great fics out there that can make me squee and adore HP-Fandom all over again.
All I needed was a distraction from H/D.
I really recommend it.

Can someone direct me to a community (or single entry) where HP fics are read and posted as a voice post? Like slashcast just fics? I waste so much time getting from A to B and my new MP3 player is just thursting for stories.

As much as I hate internet advertisement, I (still the user of the FREE LJ) had to jump at the opportunity to increase my userpics from 6 to 15. Now I am the owner of a “Sponsored+ Account”. I am aware that it could be considered whoring, but what would you do? I love userpics. Without any problems, I could easily fill 100. But alas. Now I have 15 *jumps* and I can’t wait to fill them all out.

(After reading the above again, I am contemplating my sanity. Then I remember that I also get 1 GB storage plus 5 voice posts p/m and remember that, yes, by LJ standards I am scarily normal)
