Bleach, Prince of Tennis & DM AKA post of html misuse

  1. I caught up with the last Bleach anime episode this Thursday. OMG, Nel is the squishiest little thing evar!!1one!! *points to icon* Then I continued reading the manga...

  2. I updated at DM but have been to lazy busy to make a proper update post. I also spent way to much time on the html of tables and suchlike in order to actually crank this update out.

  3. I started watching Prince of Tennis. Merely because I ran out of Bleach episodes and because some of my favourite HP fandom writers also write in that fandom...

  4. I procrastinate.

  5. I have a gazillion things to do. And no, I'm really NOT joking. I actually threw away the list I made because I felt nauseous every time I looked at it. Aah, sweet oblivion!

  6. I apparently have a addictive personality *fails*

  7. All-you-can-eat-sushi is more evil than you might think.

Hope you are all doing well, though. Flist has been very sluggish recently. <3 to all.

asdfjkl!

Here I am, finally succumbing to the love that is Bleach (shush, I'm only on episode 71, though it has taken me a disturbing few days to actually get there) and squeeing over omgwtfnewfandom! When Jo just goes and makes me explode in fangirlish hyper-squees by admitting Dumbledore was totally gay for Grindelwald.

♥♥♥

Oh My God, my love for the HP books & fandom is just exploding at the seams right now.

ETA: Also, this is fun. I can now even make her go anti-clockwise if I really concentrate (thinking of math problems helps ;p)

Old Fic & New Art rec

=> After checking the 225 H/D classics, I went through my personal faves. I found one that didn't make the list but ranks under my Top 10 H/D fics ever. I might be partial, because I adore Terry Pratchett's writing and this fic is similar, but I still think it is made of absolute awesome. It takes fandom clichés and heads the other way, which is enough reason for you to read it:

=> Moving on to the art rec. It's R/S. It's bondage. It's simple yet utterly perfect. Coincidentally, it's also my new wallpaper *drools* I can not decide whom I find sexier in the pic; Remus or Sirius.

ficlet rec

=> Finally back home, taking a break from uni and enjoying the holiday. However, regardless of how far in advance I give the internet service provider the heads up, it takes forever to get a dsl line up and running. Has to be the fact that I spend my holidays in a non-first world country ;)
But am back online now, only took a week this time (compared to the unbelievable 4 weeks last holiday).

=> And while I was offline, the wonderful [info]enchanted_jae posted a belated birthday ficlet for me. The prompt was "I thought you quit, Potter". It's absolutely wonderful, because complicated H/D relationship just are.
You should all go and read it :)

=> Also, there's a new, absolutely lovely interview out at DM with moonflower_rose

=> Why is everyone on the friendslist having RL issues? It makes me sad *clings to fandom*

J. K interview on unmentioned canon matter

For all those addicted to HP canon, I give you a link to what J.K says happens post DH, and other canon stuff.

It definitely has some interesting information about the futures of the HP cast after Voldemort's downfall.
And she states quite clearly that

1.
Teddy is not a werewolf.
2. "Harry's faults are primarily anger and occasional arrogance".
3. Harry can't speak parseltongue no more....
4. George could have a magical ear if he wanted.
5. She denotes global warming to the decrease in Dementors.
6. Regulus's change of heart was due to Voldemort's attempt to kill Kreacher.
7. Narcissa never had the Dark Mark.
8. Harry eventually owns Sirius's bike.
9. Draco, "whom misfortune has sobered!".
10. about the H/D relationship: "Real friendship would be out of the question, though. Too much had happened prior to the final battle." Well, J.K., we were never really bothered about friendship all that much :P
11.
the following about Sirius, which had me rolling: "J.K. Rowling: Thank you very much, Camille, and I'm sorry about Sirius. That man's got a lot of fans. ... Mostly female, I might add." Mostly, eh? Oh J.K you slasher, you.

Ah, that was quite educational :P
