I caught up with the last Bleach anime episode this Thursday. OMG, Nel is the squishiest little thing evar!!1one!! *points to icon* Then I continued reading the manga...

I updated at DM but have been to ~~lazy~~ busy to make a proper update post. I also spent way to much time on the html of tables and suchlike in order to actually crank this update out.

I started watching Prince of Tennis. Merely because I ran out of Bleach episodes and because some of my favourite HP fandom writers also write in that fandom...

I procrastinate.

I have a gazillion things to do. And no, I'm really NOT joking. I actually threw away the list I made because I felt nauseous every time I looked at it. Aah, sweet oblivion!

I apparently have a addictive personality *fails*

All-you-can-eat-sushi is more evil than you might think.

Here I am, finally succumbing to the love that is Bleach (shush, I'm only on episode 71, though it has taken me a disturbing few days to actually get there) and squeeing over omgwtfnewfandom! When Jo just goes and makes me explode in fangirlish hyper-squees by admitting Dumbledore was totally gay for Grindelwald.

Oh My God, my love for the HP books & fandom is just exploding at the seams right now.

ETA: Also, this is fun. I can now even make her go anti-clockwise if I really concentrate (thinking of math problems helps ;p)

Me: Advertising?

Minutes later, while I'm watching like crazy no one clicks my bookmarks and sweating bullet doing so:

Her: Haha! Harry Potter action figures!
Me: *trying not to point out another gay ad right below*
Her: Maybe I'll read the books, they're almost all out now.
Me: Uhm. They are all out.
Her: Why do you always know this stuff?
Me: Because I've been following the series since the 4th book?
Her: Right, forgot. Any good?
Me: *squinting at telltale ads*
Me: Educational.

Later, thankfully no longer on the internet:

Her: Ooh look, you have the HP books, can I borrow them?
Me: *thinks of notes in margins*
Me: *has heart failure*
Me: No.
Her: Why not?
Me: Busy re-reading them.
Me: *watches own nose grow*
Her: Oh. Any other good books?

So I gave her my "Good Omens", because Angel/Demon sex is definitely underrated.

=> After checking the 225 H/D classics, I went through my personal faves. I found one that didn't make the list but ranks under my Top 10 H/D fics ever. I might be partial, because I adore Terry Pratchett's writing and this fic is similar, but I still think it is made of absolute awesome. It takes fandom clichés and heads the other way, which is enough reason for you to read it:

=> Finally back home, taking a break from uni and enjoying the holiday. However, regardless of how far in advance I give the internet service provider the heads up, it takes forever to get a dsl line up and running. Has to be the fact that I spend my holidays in a non-first world country ;)
But am back online now, only took a week this time (compared to the unbelievable 4 weeks last holiday).

Here is how it works:

My random statement was: 'I stopped having nightmares the moment I quit using an alarm clock.'

1. but, how do you wake up in the morning? do you have a rooster? what kind of nightmares did you used to have?
I'm just lucky enough that I don't have to leave home until 11 am each day. That helps ;). It got to the point were I wake up 10 minutes before the alarm set for important meetings.
The nightmares themselves weren't noteworthy. The amount of time I had them for was. It wasn't fun to be permanently tired from waking up at night in cold sweat, with a racing heart and that for months on end.

2. what is currently on your computer's desktop background wallpaper? what do you like/dislike about it? did you put it there, or was it someone who shares the computer?
My background changes every hour. What can I say, I like variety. Currently it's this R/S art by midnight-ljc. A few minutes ago it might or might not have been Sasuke/Kakashi. If you know Naruto fandom you might or might not have an idea of their ages. >.>. It's absolutely gorgeous, though.

3. what was the last movie you saw? what did you think of it?
Paprika. Quite something else O.O

4. you can get one big ticket item, and by big ticket, i mean over about $16,000 and let's say, less than about $650,000. but only one thing. what do you get?
A flat close to where I study to avoid going through the hell I'm currently in by trying to find a place in a big city that allows my dog. I'd sell it after 3 years with no idea what to do with the money.

5. find the nearest framed photo to where you are right now. who is in the photo? what are they doing? how old is the picture? how old are the people in it? why is this particular picture special enough to be framed? did you frame it, or was it someone else?
Did I mention I was moving? So not much around concerning memorabilia. Also, I have an aversion to framed pictures; it's too neat. I have a huge collage of my most loved pictures though. I probably should get some printed from the last year, I only keep them on my harddrive now. :(

Some of you might have noticed I have these (mostly short lived) obsessions.

Well.

Right now it's Jason Isaacs/Lucius Malfoy. One of the few blue-eyed guys that appeal to me. Then again, the man's voice has the ability to make me weak in the knees.

LJ speaks again

OK lovelies,

I have made my decision (if I dare call it that). Due to its popularity amongst fandom and it's detachment from LJ, you can find me on InsaneJournal: smokity. And that nifty Fake LJ-User Tag Generator is pretty awesome for multiple journal postings without retyping it every time.
If you have an IJ account, please friend me (because I have lost track of who made journals where) and I'll add you back, though be warned that the entries will -for now- be identical to the LJ ones. I have yet to get around to searching for people, my mind is exploding with Dreaded Things To Do already.

Once a new fandom blogging site is up that I like, I will probably move there permanently. But only time will tell.

I'm still far from happy with LJ and I will not renew my paid account, but I will most probably keep my journal for various reasons, all pretty selfish. My GreatestJournal account will stay dormant, as it follows the same rules as LJ and it would thus be redundant to post the same thing there. I'm still deciding about JournalFen, which I like (no under 18 has to count for something) but can't really be bothered with all these bloody accounts.

Also, I made journals for Darkest Magic while the name was still available: on IJ: darkestmagic . I'm posting this link only in my own journal for now, as I have yet to muster the strength to even look at those blearily blank pages.
