=>RL friends are taking over my life! I'm hardly back and everyone wants to meet up, which is fun but absolutely detrimental to my online time.

=> I have watched an unhealthy amount of bad movies. I'm not liking it. Might make list "movie to avoid" for you later

=> You know how online advertisement companies spie on what you write/look at etc? Well...
My RL friend, bless her, has no particular concept of slash, fandom and even Harry Potter. Plus thankfully she is mostly computer illiterate


RL friend: Gay dating with photo's? WTF?!
ME: That's an ad.
Her: asfaskldfj? What's it doing here?
Me: Advertising?

Minutes later, while I'm watching like crazy no one clicks my bookmarks and sweating bullet doing so:

Her: Haha! Harry Potter action figures!
Me: *trying not to point out another gay ad right below*
Her: Maybe I'll read the books, they're almost all out now.
Me: Uhm. They are all out.
Her: Why do you always know this stuff?
Me: Because I've been following the series since the 4th book?
Her: Right, forgot. Any good?
Me: *squinting at telltale ads*
Me: Educational.

Later, thankfully no longer on the internet:

Her: Ooh look, you have the HP books, can I borrow them?
Me: *thinks of notes in margins*
Me: *has heart failure*
Me: No.
Her: Why not?
Me: Busy re-reading them.
Me: *watches own nose grow*
Her: Oh. Any other good books?

So I gave her my "Good Omens", because Angel/Demon sex is definitely underrated.

Buah! That's funny. I only say that because I, too, have a horror of someone discovering my guilty little pleasure.

You know what? WHY do we feel guilty about it? We need our own Slash Loving Pride Parade!

Ah, but the guilty little pleasure gets so much better because of the idea of getting caught ;) But really, I'm not sure I'd want some of the RL friends to know, even if I had the guts to tell them.

Slash Loving Pride Parade! Oh god, that is brilliant. You had me laughing for minutes there, imagining banners and flags, etc. The day I see fandom marching will be a good day XD.

Well, at least she is a computer illiterate, but you might get her on track with some Angel/Demon slash(?) now...

I had a completely diffrent kind of encounter when I went to a party shortly after DH got released: I desperately tried to talk about something other than the slashiness of the book to a guy there and then he said: "Oh, it was so disappointing that horrible het ending. I was so bonking for Harry/Ron." And I just gawked at him.

Ah, Aziraphale/Crowley is very much subtext-y, but should she catch on by herself, I'm here to hold her hand (and give her links ;) )

Oh, I'm quite jealous of you meeting that guy! Hehe, I have no idea how I would react when someone mentioned 'het' and 'slash' in connection with the HP books. I'd probably be utterly speechless for the rest of the day.

I finally read "Good Omens" a few months ago, but I immediately caught on the subtext, but then I`m always looking for slash and already knew that people in fandom were slashing them together.

Do you know any really good Aziraphale/Crowley fics? Not that I have time to read much at the moment, but eventual...

Yes, I do have some recs, not many though. The fandom is tiny compared to HP. They are on my old laptop back in germany, so I can only get them to you in a few weeks when I'm back :)
